Congregations meet for worship at three centres in the parish : at Holy Trinity in the High Street, at St. Michaels and All Angels near Sweyne Secondary School, and at Grove School. Services take place at each centre every Sunday. Congregations come together for joint services every Sunday evening, normally at Holy Trinity but once a month at St. Michaels and once a quarter at Grovewood. There are Young Church activities for children at each church. Details from the Parish Centre.

A church existed on the site of Holy Trinity in Saxon times and the present building incorporates a Norman chancel. The tower dates from the 15th Century and incorporates stones taken from the castle when that fell into disuse. The church is entered through an impressive brickwork porch dating from Tudor times.
Holy Trinity lies at one end of the High street and is the focal point for many community activities as well as being as the chief centre for Anglican worship in the town. Civic services are held here and the modern parish centre to the rear of the church is used for meetings by many town clubs and societies, including the Mothers' Union, youth clubs and pensioners' groups. The parish centre is also used for Young Church activities. The Church has a large membership. Baptisms are frequently conducted during Sunday services and weddings take place virtually every Saturday. It is a comforting thought that many getting married in the church are doing so at a centre that has been used for Christian worship for over one thousand years.
